Insulin Imbalance

Insulin is the hormone which helps the human body to process the sugar that is present in the bloodstream. It is produced by the pancreas. When there is too little insulin that is being produced by this organ, or if it is not able to use the insulin it produces effectively, the body can then develop diabetes.

Kidney Failure

Kidney Failure

This disease is one of the most serious results of a hormone imbalance which, if left undiagnosed and untreated, can cause heart disease, blindness, kidney failure, and death. There is no cure for diabetes. Those who have the disease must continually receive injections of insulin. Type 1 diabetes is treated with insulin injections through syringes or insulin pens, while type 2 diabetes is managed with insulin supplementation as well as exercise, dietary treatment, and other medications.
